David Wiese praises Lahore Qalandars strong bowling attack
David Wiese, South Africa born Namibian cricketer, has credited Lahore Qalandars for developing cricketing talent. He spoke to the media during the team’s practice session. He stated that Qalandars have one of the best bowling attacks in the league, making him excited for the upcoming season.
Qalandars’ strength in bowling
Wiese expressed his excitement for the new season, stating that he is looking forward to performing well with his team as defending champions. He also commented on Qalandars’ bowling attack, stating that it is one of the strongest in the world. He specifically mentioned death bowling and praised the skills of Shaheen Afridi and Salman Zaman. Wiese also highlighted the addition of Rashid Khan to the team, stating that it strengthens the bowling attack even more.

Qalandars’ contribution to his career
Wiese played for Karachi Kings in 2017 before moving to Qalandars in 2018, and he has been with them ever since. He stated that Qalandars allowed him to play when he wasn’t playing in many leagues. After his stint with Qalandars in 2018, he got contracts in BPL, Mzansi Super League, and SLPL. He expressed his appreciation for the team and their belief in him, stating that they have always backed him.
Qalandars’ talent development program
Wiese praised Qalandars’ talent development program and highlighted the success of Haris Rauf, a product of the program. He stated that there is so much talent out there, and Qalandars have been able to unearth it through their program.
The upcoming match against Karachi Kings
Qalandars will play Karachi Kings in Karachi on 19th February. Wiese stated that it would be an exciting contest between two big cities. He also praised Qalandars’ young captain, Shaheen Shah Afridi, stating that he has an excellent cricketing mind and is not afraid to ask for advice. Wiese believes that Shaheen’s leadership skills make him a good captain and a good leader.
