The Multan Sultans replaced Mohammad Ilyas for the injured Shahnawaz Dahani in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 8.

Dahani fractured his index finger during Multan’s opening match against the Lahore Qalandars, ruling him out of the tournament. The team considered West Indies all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite as a replacement but ultimately decided on Ilyas.

Dahani’s absence hurts the Sultans
Dahani’s absence has caused a blow to the Sultans’ bowling depth, with Ilyas bringing in experience from domestic cricket. Dahani has taken 55 wickets in 41 T20 matches and is considered an essential part of the Sultans’ bowling attack.
