PSL Season 6 got the green light for Crowd:
Finally, sports in Pakistan got the green light to resume at grassroots and recreational levels with adequate safety measures in place. PCB announced to grant access up to 10,000 spectators at the National Stadium Karachi having a capacity of 32,000, and a maximum of 8000 at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore having a capacity of 27,000.
Since cricket is the most popular sport in Pakistan can draw the largest crowds, But the PCB needs federal and provincial approval to have crowds at the PSL.
Chairman of PCB Ehsan Mani Statement:
Ehsan Mani Chairman of PCB said, “fans always supported the PSL and played an important role in making it successful in every edition. In this season as well, we will try our best to convince the administration to allow a limited but some number of crowd, with the COVID-19 SOPs set by the government.
Last Tournaments and Series without Crowd:
Home series of Two-Test, three T20I series against South Africa is playing in the empty stadium. National T20 Cup and the home series with Zimbabwe were also not open for crowds.
Last Season of Pakistan Super League:
The sixth edition (PSL 6) of the Pakistan Super League will start on 20th February 2021. The last season of the PSL held earlier in 2020 was disturbed because of the increasing number of cases of COVID-19 and the last matches Play-off and Final of the tournament were played in November 2020.
